Genome/transcriptome analysis

In collaboration with other laboratories, we are engaged in the analyses of genomic information and gene expression information using high-speed genome sequencer technology.

Analysis of differentially expressed genes

Analysis of differentially expressed genes

Currently, RNA genome expression analysis (RNA-seq) which represents high-speed genome sequencer technology is becoming a standard method for transcriptome analysis. One of the most important aims of this technology is to detect genes which have different transcript levels. We are developing methods to detect these genes with high sensitivity and release them to the public.

Analysis of the relationship between genotype and phenotype

Analysis of the relationship between genotype and phenotype

Whole exome sequencing technology has been established which identifies the sequence of DNA regions encoding genes or mutations on an individual level using next generation sequencing, allowing the association with various phenotypes and diseases to be elucidated.
In our laboratory, we attempt to develop methods to uncover unknown relationships and apply these methods, based on raw data from different fields using computational and statistical methods along with machine learning.
